Imagine This Scenario..

Hosting guests in a small home usually means finding extra seating, and extra surfaces for food and mugs.

Initial Aims

  • Easy to manufacture

  • Made entirely of plywood

  • Fold completely flat

  • Low cost

The process started with sketches to explore possible mechanisms that fit all the aims. Then it went on the CAD models to 3d prints and then Drawings for CNC cutting.

Initial User

People with Little Space and a Tight Budget.

Fixes

The prototype proved the concept would work, but needed fixes before it can reach the market.

Repositioning

In places where space is the luxury

From cheap and useful → designed and wanted

Tests show a weak spot in the chair mast. This would need to be worked on and verified further.

*These are approx values based on what I could find.
